This is the kind of eatery where you'd take your mother for Fish Tea on a Sunday or invite your boss for a business meeting and while they offer traditional Scottish fare such as haddock and cod, you'll also find other more unusual fish like sea bass and coley and of course, the couldn't be fresher, catch of the day. Somehow secluded - despite being located just off of one of Glasgow's busiest streets - this excellent little restaurant is housed on the first floor of Glasgow’s iconic McCormick Printers building and is rightly considered to be the best chippy to go to in the centre of town. We swore when writing this that we wouldn't crack out any old clichés but this chippie truly is a hidden gem. (84 Buchanan St, McCormack Lane, Lanarkshire G1 3AJ The true proof in the pudding though is the quality of their cooking and their freshly made fish and chips wouldn't look out of place on the plates of any of the neighbourhood's best restaurants.
